A Year of Change…2020

Well let’s face it 2020 has been a year of challenge and opportunity. The biggest challenge we faced at Suderman Estimating Systems Inc. was how to keep going during a lock-down. Our usual format for our courses was to pre-plan the year, find training room locations, load the courses to capacity to cover our costs travel across Canada and teach our courses. Well that business modal went out the window in the middle of March. We got locked down due to COVID-19.

We responded by moving our courses online. To make that happen we had to make changes to every lesson, we had to add more information, set up the lessons so that they fit into shorter time slots, develop packages of material that could be delivered by courier or Canada Post and rework the presentation so that it flowed on line. The difference between teaching in a physical classroom and in a digital classroom is interesting.

We are going to continue with the digital format and continue to make improvements.
