About Suderman Estimating Systems Inc.

Our electrical estimating courses are taught by experienced electricians. We don't just teach theory we work through practical exercises that build on one another. Learning electrical estimating is more than just understanding the theory. Electrical estimating includes understanding labour units and how they relate to installing equipment.

Suderman Estimating Systems was incorporated February 6th, 1984.

At that time Peter Suderman was the owner and estimator of Globe Electric. He developed 2-2 Day electrical estimating training courses and the original labour manual. Peter taught these courses to over 2500 people over the next 18 years.

John F. Wiesel purchased the company from Peter in May 2002. John had been the Vice President of estimating, sales and engineering at Roberts-Onsite of Kitchener Ontario, a company he was with for over 30 years. He had taken the Suderman Estimating training at the beginning of his tenure at Roberts and under him had their estimators and supervisors take the training as well.

John has since taught the course to over 3000 people over the past 20 years He has updated the courses to todays standards and had them registered by the Canadian Construction Association for Gold Seal Accreditation.

John published a new labour manual in 2012 with the latest updates and revisions completed in October 2021.

Over 40 plus years, 5500 people in various roles in the electrical industry have taken this training.
